The Washington State legislature passed Bill No. 159, which qualified Gonzaga Law graduates to sit for the state bar exam.
In June, 13 students received their law degrees at the Law School’s first commencement ceremony.
1913
The first law school social and dinner for faculty and students was held in the East Room of the newly-built Davenport Hotel. Read more

On October 1, Gonzaga Law School began classes with 19 students and a faculty of five. Read more.

Judge J. Stanley Webster and Edward J. Cannon, two prominent members of the legal profession, approached Gonzaga University President, Louis Taelman, S.J., about opening the law school.
