Founders John P. Leary, S.J., President of Gonzaga University; Harrison K. Dano; Charles C. Flower, ’66 J.D.; Gary J. Keister, ’66 J.D.; Law Professor Lewis H. Orland; and Eldon H. Reiley, law lecturer and partner of law firm Reiley and Annis.

Leo O’Brien became the seventh dean of the law school.

At commencement, U.S. Solicitor General Archibald Cox received the first Law School Medal, which was awarded in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Law School founding.

Partial payment for Webster Elementary School

In July, the Webster School was purchased for $115,000 from District 81.

In October, after $35,000 in renovations, the law school building was dedicated.
