Smithmoore Myers begins his second term as dean of the law school.
Yakima Valley Legal Services Clinic was established in Granger, Washington, making it the first comprehensive clinical law program by Gonzaga University School of Law.
The Placement Office was established and the law school became a member of the National Association for Law Placement and charter member of Pacific Northwest Law Placement Consortium.
Gonzaga University School of Law awarded “Most Outstanding Student Project” by American Bar Association Student Law Division.
Gonzaga University School of Law was awarded the “Most Outstanding Student Project Funded by the ABA” for the 1974 National Symposium on Law and the Environment. This marked the first time in the history of the ABA that any law school received two first-place awards for the same project.
Gonzaga-in-Rio de Janeiro Summer Program was initiated by Gonzaga Professors Hardina Roe and Gerald Solk.
