James M. Vaché appointed the eleventh dean of the law school.

Legal Services Corporation awarded Gonzaga’s University Legal Assistance a $50,000 merit grant.

Gonzaga was one of two law schools in the U.S. selected for the Internal Revenue Service visiting professorship in the national program’s inaugural year.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.
